We hit the road for our favorite mountain spot... Beech Mountain, NC. Our first few days were filled with worms (literally) and our favorite stream!
Amazing how many earthworms were under the walkway area of my parents' home. I think we counted over 100 that we successfully caught... and somewhat successfully released... days later!
The Banner Elk stream is our favorite spot to enjoy. Unfortunately and very fortunately, the mountain air was very cool for our trip. The unfortunate part was that it meant we only made it to the stream once. Fortunately for my kids, I was the horrible parents that risked them both getting sick and allowed them to swim in the stream. Purple lips... completely healthy, right?
