Take 10
All of the sudden Ellison is a singer. I finally captured her in full performance mode... of course she would not do her complete rendition of the ABCs or any other nursery rhymes. However, I did get an original Ellison ballad, so that is pretty darn special.
On a Side Note
If you have ever wondered why Ellison may be so girly... while posting to the blog I have sprayed E's Barbie with leave-in conditioner and brushed her hair to a make her locks nice and shiny. No one wants a Barbie with tangled hair, right? Lets not even get started on how envious I was when E was playing with her Barbie in the bath tub last night :)
Told You So
A sales lady at Janie and Jack was trying to sell me a pumpkin hat to go along with a Fall outfit for E. I told her that although it was super cute, Ellison would just not cooperate and wear it. She responded, "You should think about it because she is almost at the age that they like to accessorize and dress up." HA HA HA. Lady, we are already at that stage!
Something is Up
Everyone keeps asking if we think Ellison knows what is about to happen... meaning a new addition to the family. Well like I keep telling everyone, who knows? She knows that she is going to be a big sis and that her little brother will at some point live in the room next door. Is an older sibling ever truly prepared? I am going to go with a "No" on that one.
Well I do know one thing for sure, the dogs know something is up. And well, they are not happy. Seriously, this is what they talk about while we are gone (I just know this is true), "Ali remember the last time Mom got fat? Remember who showed up? A baby is coming. Lets cause trouble!"
Honestly, I swear they have had this conversation. There is a rebellion going on in the Clark Family.

Just adding the Esquire
Ellison was happy to be there!
All smiles as her Aunt Ashley was sworn in.
(One proud niece)
Judge Conway and Ashley, Esq.
The Family Picture
(huge belly shot - I know)
Yummy, cake!
I think she enjoyed it.
I say "Just adding the Esquire" like it was no big deal, but after 3 years of law school, a whole lot of studying for the Florida Bar, and a few months of waiting for the results... trust me, it was a huge deal. It's official, Aunt Ashley is now an Esquire! Today we headed to the Federal Courthouse to watch Ashley, Esq. be sworn in by the Honorable Anne Conway. Yay for Aunt Ashley!!! Ashley's friends, Tea, Patti, and Annie, were also sworn in today... yay!

Firemen
Ellison's class is super lucky because one her classmates has a Daddy, who is a firefighter. He came in before Daddy's lunch in his firegear and let the kids learn all about firemen and firetrucks. When we left class today, I asked her about it. Her response, "scary". I am interested to hear what her response will be about firemen when she is in her teens. I bet it won't be "scary" (although her Daddy may prefer that response).
Daddy's Lunch
Wednesday was the very special Daddy Lunch at Ellison's Preschool. Daddy came home and gave the following report to me (not in direct quotes, but accurately stated)...
Ellison is the craziest of all of the kids. She pulled out every toy. She is the messiest eater and I blamed you for that one. And she has the largest personality.
So today when I picked Ellison up, her teacher said the kids and Daddies had a great lunch. I of course responded with, "I heard. And I heard that Ellison is the craziest." Her response after some laughter, "I think all of the Dads probably said the same thing."
It is good to know that all husbands exaggerate!

Titles
I find this rather humorous...
- Ellison has a Princess Puzzle with all of the necessary Royal Kingdom pieces. When she works on the puzzle, she calls herself a "Princess", her Daddy a "Prince", and her Mommy the "Queen". (On a side note, the castle and carriage are always designated for her use)
- When Ellison sees a Disney Princess and Prince, she thinks the Prince is the Princess's Daddy.
- The other day, she ran up to her Daddy, gave him a hug and said "I missed you Prince."

Remind you of anyone?
Once upon a time, Mama and Papa Beaman had three girls, Jennifer, Kimberly and Ashley. One was shy, one was a performer, and one always had their head in a book. Which one does Ellison remind you of? Here is a clue, my name is Jennifer and it is definitely not me! That leaves you with two choices.

We have a Birthday!
If everything goes according to plan, then Baby Boy Clark will arrive on November 16, 2010. I do realize things rarely goes as planned, but I don't think I am one to head into labor early... just not that lucky :) Also, we most likely have decided on the name, but don't feel confident enough that we won't still change our mind to officially make an announcement.

Labor Day Weekend
We had a great weekend at NSB with the Whitemans! I have a few photos and a great video to share... will post later. However, before I forget, I want to share the following weekend wrap-up conversation between Ellison and I:
"Ellison, did you have a fun weekend with Jack and Anna Banana?"
"Yes, it was fun. I want to do it again."
"What was your favorite part?"
"Jack. He is my boy."

Sweet Girl
This evening a few moments after closing Ellison's door, I heard the door open, Ellison walk out and ask in her sweetest and most inquisitive voice,
"Mom, I have a question? Where is my baby brother's room gonna be?"
Too cute! And how funny is her little mind, I can only wonder if she was asking this to make sure she was not going to be sharing a room :)
