Sunday with Nana

On Sunday, Nana came into town and we spent the day in Thornton Park. We started with a delicious Brunch at Graze. The funniest moment of the Brunch was when a little boy, who was probably 1 1/2 years old, made a complete stop at Ellison's high chair on his way to the bathroom. The complete and sudden stop was not because he was smitten by Ellison. No, he had spotted some Gerber Puffs under her chair. It was very funny.
After a lovely Brunch, we headed to the Farmer's Market, checked out the ducks and swans at Lake Eola and then headed to Urban Think Bookstore. It was a great Sunday.

Swing Time

Today, Ellison and I joined Daddy as he headed to the park to train for his upcoming Bike Race (1 month left). So while Daddy was out riding, Ellison and I enjoyed the swings. I am not sure what she enjoyed more, swinging or checking out the older kids on the jungle gym.

Our Monkey

We have two dogs and a monkey living in our house. The monkey is also known as Little "E".

Peek a Boo

This was taken while Christmas shopping and I was unable to get it off of my phone... until now!

Common Question

Everyone always asks, "How are Bella and Ali doing with the addition of Ellison?"

Well, it depends on the day. Bella is our 4lb Maltese that is the Queen of the House. Graham would argue that her current status has been denounced to Princess... or when he feels like making me feel bad would say she is becoming "Noodles the Poodle." Noodles was a friend's dog that went from sleeping in their bed before kids came, to the floor when the first kid arrived, the closet when the second kid came, and now sleeps in a crate on the other end of the house.

Bella likes Ellison when Bella feels like it. Which pretty much sums up Bella at all times. In the mornings, NO she does not want to play with Ellison, much less be in the same room as her. Bella likes to sleep in. In the afternoons (once the Queen is awake), she will approach Ellison when she feel like it and try to lick her or lay next to her (until Ellison kicks her or grabs at her).

Now Ali, our 88 lb Labradoodle, could care less about Ellison. We compare Ali to "Eeyore." She just "is."Ali will let Ellison pull, climb and grab on her. The only really funny thing is that when Ellison is pulling, climbing and grabbing her, Ali will not make eye contact. She will do anything and everything needed to make sure she does not make any eye contact with Ellison.

So to answer your question, the girls are actually doing great with Little "E." We were very, very worried.

Obama Mamma

On January 20, 2009, Ellison and I were at home all day watching the TV as Barack Obama was sworn in as President. Ellison watched as she chewed on a teething biscuit. What can I say, she has four teeth making an appearance, can't blame the poor girl. Go Obama!
