Sick Girl, but a Happy Girl - 10 months old TODAY!

Little "E" has been sick this week with a horrible stomach bug. It is her first real sickness that could not be somehow related back to teething. We have been lucky so far - no ear infections. (knocking on wood) We are on Day 3, and I am hoping she will feel like eating again. I am glad to report that she is still a sweet, happy baby, even while sick.

Today, Ellison is 10 months! She is:
  • Taking 2-3 steps at a time
  • Loves to open and close books
  • Refuses baby purees, will only eat "real" food
  • Her favorite foods are garbanzo beans, sweet potatoes, bananas, peaches, strawberries, broccoli
  • Crawling maniac - will crawl out of her bedroom and attempt to reach the dog food - so far she has not made it.
  • Loves the "Doggy" (both of the them)
  • Loves to give Eskimo kisses
  • Loves to hug
  • Talks to her dolly, Chloe (I will find her in her crib after her nap talking to Chloe)
  • Plays pretend phone (will put my cell phone to her ear and chat)
  • Loves Daddy's glasses and will take off and then try to put back on his face
  • Loves Peek-a-boo (will cover her face with blankie for hours - will do to others as well)
  • Loves boxes (will open and close boxes, and put things in them, close them, and then repeat)
  • Points to things that she wants.
  • She has 6 teeth!

Mohawk

As spring break flies by, I am enjoying my time with Graham and Ellison at night. Poor Graham is being subjected to "sneaky" food during dinner time (vegetables hidden in food), but is surviving. Last night, Ellison had a little to much fun with her broccoli. So a bath soon followed. Check out her mohawk... courtesy of daddy.

Rubber Duckie, you're the one...

The Ducks preparing for the race.

Ellison's duck is the one to the front left.

The heated race...
the master of ceremonies' daughter won the race.
Hmmmm... interesting.
Today, Graham, Ellison and I
headed to the Annual Duck Race in Winter Park.
We had a great afternoon racing E's duck,
watching Mr. Richard and seeing some of our friends.

Can you spy the edamame?

Our last stop in Gainesville was Dragonfly for some sushi to celebrate Daddy's birthday. Ellison did not care for edamame...
