Duck, Duck, GOOSE!

Talk about fun! There is nothing quite like seeing your husband jump 10 feet in the air when a Goose creeps up behind him and taps him on the behind. Pair the jumping with a slight scream, and it is guaranteed that your 1 year old will choose to not feed the ducks (and geese) while visiting the pond. In fact, it is guaranteed that your child will hold onto you for dear life.

Happy New Year!

Wow, 2009 was a great year filled with more highs than lows (always a great thing). Graham and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary, Ellison turned 1, and the Gators went 12-0! What more could we ask for? Well besides all A's in law school, but that may be asking for too much :) I don't want to get greedy. Cheers to 2010! We look forward to starting the year with a bang.

Snowy Morning

Happy Birthday Cake to Grandma

Ellison automatically associates the word Birthday to Cake. So yesterday, we spent the day celebrating Grandma's "Happy Birthday Cake".

Snow ball fight!

Ashley and Andy arrived last night to snow covering the ground and immediately took to showing Ellison how to throw snow. Ellison, as always, refused a jacket. I did not argue thinking she would get cold and change her mind. I was wrong! She did come back for some gloves luckily!

It's official, I am stopping at 1!

Her "fake" pout

Ellison has been one of those children that people wish they had... sweet natured with a strong personality. I am not meaning to brag, but she would always sit through nice dinners out, nap in the stroller when tired, and smile at all times. We have had our bouts of fits over the past 19 months, but once she learned to communicate a bit better, we saw a nice lull in tantrums. Well that lull is over. And the new bout of tantrums is ridiculous in comparison to what we "thought" was bad. Over the past 3 weeks, Ellison has become a handful. Her strong personality mixed with her great ability to communicate is TROUBLE. In fact, she has labeled herself "trouble". After spending one hour this morning attempting to dress her for the 20 degree weather outside, I decided that maybe one child is best! Or at least now I know why children tend to be either 2 years apart or 5 years apart. Their parents either get pregnant before the terrible twos, or they hit the terrible twos and decide to wait until kindergarten. Actually, I am just exageratting in a total Grahamism fashion :) You will just have to stay posted on when to expect number 2!

It's official... we can now call Christmas Day a Clark tradition. For the second year we have celebrated Christmas Day at our house with Nana and Papa Clark, Grandma and Grandpa Beaman and all of Ellison's Aunts and Uncles. We hope the tradition continues because it is lovely to have everyone over at our house to celebrate. However, who knows what will come in 2010... maybe a baby Rios?
