St. Pete Beach Time

We decided to make a short trip to St. Pete Beach over the weekend. The purpose was to spend some quality time with Grandma Ruthie. However, we were also able to relax and watch college football with the Williams.  Ellison and Dylan enjoyed spending the day and evening with Kyley.  GO GATORS (mandatory shout out, not sure if deserved after Saturday's performance).

Ballet

I remember the studio, the excitement of ballet class, the leotards, and the rules.  I remember looking at the beautiful older girls with their pointed ballet shoes and wanting to be them. I also remember my complete lack of ballet skills.  Ballerina, I am not.

The jury is out on whether ballet is for Ellison. She is excited about week 2 and I am excited for her.

Karate Chops

Ellison is boy crazy! So boy crazy that when asked if she would rather take karate, gymnastics, or ballet in the afternoon, she chose karate. Yesterday was her first class... she loved it!

Bike Parade - Just Ellison's Style

Ellison FINALLY took an interest in learning to ride a bike. Two minutes after riding the bike on her own down the street, she wanted to orchestrate a parade. Silliest girl!

First Day of Pre-K

I only got one picture of E standing up straight - so tall!

First Day of Older One's

Mini Graham

I haven't decided if Dylan resembles Graham in the looks department.
However, in the crazy department... all Graham.
Ok, maybe there is a slight resemblance.

Finally ... NSB time

My entire life has involved summers at our family condo in New Smyrna Beach. So you can imagine how difficult it has been for me to sit still, stay home, and study for the Bar.  Well as we all know, the Bar is over and I (and my family) am finally enjoying the summer.

Graham loaded up the kids for a week at the beach.  The plan was to join them the following day after work.  However, one hour after arriving at the condo I received the following call from Graham, "Jenn, you are either coming here tonight or we are coming home."  Message received and I headed for the beach.

As a child, my Dad would commute during the work week.  I have to admit it really was not bad.  I would wake up with Dylan, enjoy the sunrise, the dolphins, and a cup (or several) of coffee.

On Thursday evening, our dear friends, the Simons, joined us for a long weekend.  We have a history with the Simons that includes college years, greek life, vacations, and that is just the beginning (several things will never or should never be mentioned ever again - on Graham's side of course). For the past 6 years, they have enjoyed  tolerated vacations with us or a group of us, as we have either been pregnant or had children with us.  Always great sports, it was almost unreal to see them with a child on the trip.  By unreal, I do mean awesome!
