Better then Coffee
This little guy is better then coffee in the morning. This morning, Dylan woke up and gave me a sweet little kiss on the cheek. Does life get any better? Yes, the kisses continued throughout the day.
Spring Break
Unfortunately the Spring Break Gods did not grace the kids and I with the same week for Spring Break. Mine was over a month ago - seems like an eternity. Luckily, this is my last Spring Break as a student (wait, is that lucky?!?).
I am so blessed to have a great support team that have helped entertain Ellison and Dylan this week. On Monday and Tuesday, they partied it up with Grandma, who took them to Sea World. Graham took off the remainder of the week and we all went to Epcot yesterday. Today, while I was at school (did I mention I have two weeks left), Graham took them to Monkey Joes. And although I skipped my last two classes this afternoon to live it up with the kids, they are all worn out and need a TV day (or so I have been told... by Ellison).
There are several hillarious stories from their adventures this week. I will share a few of them...
Ellison wanted to sit in the first row at the Shamu show. Grandma chose the 4th row and let Ellison sit by herself in the first row. I was asking Ellison about it and this was her response,
"I wanted to get splashed, so I sat in first row next to a strange man. It wasn't fun. I smelled like fish for the rest of the day. It was stinky!"
At Epcot, we went to the Talking with Crush show. Crush is the Turtle from Nemo and he interacts with the audience. Crush asked the kids if they had any questions, and Ellison raised her hand. He called on her...
"What's your name little dudette with the fancy white and blue shell?"
"Ellison"
"Hi Ellison, how are you?"
"I'm good."
"What's your question little dudette?"
"Umm....Ummm. hmmmm.... Ummm... I got new shoes today. They're sparkly."
"Well I can tell you one thing, that is one difference between turtles and humans... shoes."
The audience was cracking up, which Ellison took to mean that they were laughing at her. She found us immediately after her conversation with Crush and wanted to leave. We explained they were not laughing at her, but enjoying the conversation. Throughout the day, people would come up to her and say, "Are those your new shoes?"
As we were leaving the park, we stopped by the gift shop and Ellison ran inside. A Disney employee walked up to us and asked if we were leaving. We responded that we were and she told us that Ariel was on her way out and would be right in front of the shop. The next thing we knew, Ariel was calling Ellison out of the gift shop by her name, having a long conversation with her, and walking to her picture spot with Ellison. It was amazing and made Ellison's already lovely day even lovelier.

The Beast was such a gentleman. He danced with Ellison and gave her a kiss on the cheek.
Dylan was cautious at first. A little game of Peek-a-Boo lightened up the mood.
Dylan warmed up.
Dylan used the "shy" thing with Tigger as well.

Safe Start
Don't be fooled
Don't be fooled by this face:
Dylan and Ellison love Aunt Ashley and Andy!
Honestly, what's not to love!
Afterall, they bribe them with ducklings :)
Seriously, we love you two! Thank you for taking care of our kids, so Graham and I can go on a date.

Slow Down Time
This week I have been playing a little game I call "lets catch up with life". Fun game... not! Well I am happy to report that the school/work week is done, laundry pile is siginificantly smaller, the toys are put away, and the kids are asleep. The past two weeks have been busy, but we have still been able to take time and enjoy the small things.

Dylan loves swim lessons. I am certain that Dylan will be a swimmer.
Olivia turned 6 months!
Ellison's artwork has transformed over the past few weeks. I was so proud of her picture of our house.
Dylan is all boy!
Enjoying a picnic in our front yard.
Daddy's helper.
Happy kid!

Water Time!
Spring has arrived! This weekend, my parent's pool was officially enjoyed and the water tables and hose were brought out at our house. With the kids immersed in swim lessons right now, I am hoping that our days will be filled enjoying all that Florida has to offer. When I say "our", I do realize that I will be sequestered away studying until the end of July... so I plan to live vicariously through everyone else (and completely ignore that my life is horrible and excruciating aka studying for the Bar).
This reminds me of when I was pregnant... Ellison would enjoy the water table and I would enjoy plopping my feet into it.
BOYS!
It is going to be a FUN summer!
