Zen

We entered Summer in a Zen state of mind...

to be continued. This can't last long.

Hello, Summer and Second Grade

On Ellison's last day of school, my feed was blowing up with before and after photos of first and last day.  Many of the photos included children wearing the same out that they wore first day to compare.

Well, I failed (Again).  I did not take any photos to document the last day for Ellison.

So, I will say this... First Grade rocked!

Photo from the second to last week.
I will also include a snapshot of her new summertime hair!

Bye, Bye Threes!

Open up the flood gate.  Remember 4 years ago when I was freaking out about putting my infant in school!  Well that infant just graduated the Threes and is heading to Pre-K.  I could not have asked for a better year.  Ms. Peggie and Ms. Natalie gave him the tools to explore and grow.  My instagram feed was filled daily with amazing pictures of what he was doing - AMAZING.  He was one lucky kid to have them and I was one lucky Mom to know it!

NSB Time

You know that yearly debate Graham and I have?  Which beach is better.  I WIN!  AGAIN!

We finally made it for our first NSB weekend in 2015!  It was so nice to enjoy the sun, sand and water.  The kids spent the weekend digging, catching waves and playing with friends.

Dylan joined me for coffee.

Ready to see our friends and enjoy the beach!

A Little Cake

As you know, I am behind.  I would gather to say that I have been basically running behind on everything... files stacked to the max on my desk, refrigerator bare, clothes piled up, messy house, haven't worked out... well you get the point.  The great news... I had a three day weekend filled with very little to do.  Even better news, I tackled my desk, laundry, filled my cupboards, organized the house, and even enjoyed a few pool parties.  And now I can blog...

Ellison had a blast celebrating her 7th Birthday with friends and ART!  We brought in a fabulous teacher from Trinity Prep to assist with the Art Project - fun for all. The kids then proceeded to run around and play (basic chaos at its best) until their parents arrived to pick them up.  A sign of a good party... kids having way to much fun to stop and eat cake.

Ellison got the great idea to have a smash cake from a friend's party a few weeks earlier.

I am not sure she will have another smash cake... as she was not overly thrilled at how much icing went up her nose.

He followed suit... of course!

Happy Birthday to Ellison!

Seven years ago, the Doctor and attending nurses said she was the loudest baby they had ever heard. My beautiful baby girl had the roundest head, the most alert eyes, and a scream that could burst ear drums.

We still laugh over the fact that Ellison was going to be a "Grace" until moments before I was wheeled off for my emergency c-section.  To this day, my little girl is one of a kind.  She is an Ellison to her core. She makes me proud on a daily basis.  She also makes me laugh, smile more often, and realize how wonderful it is to be her Mom.

Ellison's day was full of celebration.

"Yo"

My little girl is 7!  Not sure how this happened... but it did.  I can't wait to see what is in store for her this year.  I am sure she will continue to amaze us all (and keep us laughing).
