Ellison is TWO

Wow, what a fun day! Ellison turned 2! It is so hard to believe - time flies. Ellison woke up super early this morning in anticipation of the day. We headed straight to the sun room where the plan was to sing happy birthday, blow out candles, eat breakfast, open presents, and then play. Instead, we blew out the candle, blew it out again, then again, then again... then maybe sung happy birthday... forgot the food (but posed for picture) and then opened presents. Ellison was very excited by it all and we loved every minute.
After a busy and early morning, Ellison and I headed to Tampa to watch Dr. Jeannie get her diploma. We were so proud! Graduation ceremony was followed up by lunch with Dr. Jeannie, her parents, Mike and Austin. They surprised E (and me) with a Birthday ice cream. Once again Ellison skipped the song and went right to blowing out the candle. Of course, this time she realized that we would also sing to her if requested, so she did. And we sang.
After lunch, we met Uncle Art and Aunt Kim for coffee. They surprised E with a cupcake and a candle. Once again, the candles were blown out before the song... but merely details :) Uncle Art and Aunt Kim attempted to teach Ellison to say she was turning "terrible 2", but let's face it, so far there is nothing terrible about E :) They did teach her to recognize Buddha. As Ellison would say, "Uncle Art and Aunt Kim are silly."
And to top off the fun, but exhausting day, once home we headed to dinner with Daddy, Grandpa, and Grandma... to celebrate of course! This time, she blew out the candle immediately, asked for a re-light, allowed us to sing, and then blew out the candle. Wonder what will happen on Saturday?
Happy Birthday to a little girl with a big heart and beautiful personality. We love you!
